They were extremely expired lol. But my partner had mentioned lasagna last weekend so I decided to use them up. Turned out great!
I hope those cashews weren’t actually raw because raw cashews are toxic. They contain urushiol. But I’m going to guess you got these from a grocery store, so they’re probably actually lightly cooked.
… wouldn’t cooking them at home solve that problem?
The raw cashews sold in stores are labeled “raw” because they are not roasted. They are prepared and steamed to remove the urushiol.
