I’m no expert, but with no ring of sharp shooting or boomerangs, I think sniper is the riskier choice. Warden is more generally reliable; I think most of the sniper talents don’t work with darts (one works with tipped darts IIRC).

Warden also generally makes up for a lack of decent armor if you happen to have a wand of regrowth.

I had a wand of regrowth and was stuck with chainmail so I chose warden once I reached too deep to survive without a choice

IDK, I always go Warden. The seeing through tall grass is really nice. I’ve never really gotten the sniper. On the later levels, ranged damage is counteracted by enemies that’ll fire right back at you like the Evil Eye. Maybe a sniper fan can chime in how they handle that?

If you have a projecting bow and/or a ring of sharpshooting, sniper can be very powerful, especially using the stone of augmentation for speed on the bow.

Run long won hahaha. Didn’t matter too much in the end.

I’m just getting back in the game and working my way up to get used to 6 challenges again and learn all the new changes.

The new potion and scroll skills are great. They allow for some funky new sets!
