I have a Ukrainian coworker. She’s a refugee and she’s still young. She managed to learn some basic Dutch in the meantime and she has a job and a life here. She already says she does not want to return even if the war would stop soon. Many of the refugees she talks to are not sure if they will return either.

I think Ukraine is unlikely to recover from this war, even more of what is left will be sold to private companies to pay for support.
