It has happened a bit before. When we first came over here not everyone understood federation and that lemmy.ml allows liberals. We’re pretty ideologically consistent (compared to liberals) so it can probably feel like ganging up to some people.
It’s still lame to block the whole instance, though.
doing some digging, some instances like feddit.de would be more willing to be federated with us if they could just like mute us and keep our communities’ posts from popping up in their all, which is fair, and then I would actually be able to interact with them on like lemmy.ml. hopefully lemmy devs add something like that
Yeah, I definitely understand! At some points we’ve been most of the new queue in lemmy.ml, and I’m sure that can be frustrating for the liberals.
They could fix it by becoming commies, tho 😁
