This community is unofficial. Let me know if a developer of RetroArch wishes to
have a Lemmy community. RetroArch [https://www.retroarch.com/] is a frontend for
emulators, game engines and media players. It enables you to run classic games
on a wide range of computers and consoles
[https://docs.libretro.com/meta/core-list/] through its slick graphical
interface. Settings are also unified so configuration is done once and for all.
RetroArch has advanced features like shaders
[https://www.retroarch.com/?page=shaders], netplay
[https://www.retroarch.com/?page=netplay], rewinding, next-frame response times
[https://www.retroarch.com/?page=latency], runahead
[https://docs.libretro.com/guides/runahead/], machine translation
[https://www.retroarch.net/2020/01/retroarch-ai-service.html], blind
accessibility features

achievements [https://www.retroarch.com/?page=achievements], and more!

I noticed there wasn’t any retroarch community on Lemmy for support, discussion, news, sharing themes, shaders, settings, recommendations, etc. So I decided I’d make it. I’ll be contributing as much as I can to this community. I hope we can get some retroarch fun going in the threadiverse!
Oh I appreciate the concern. I’ve been on Lemmy since December, but I’ve done some instance hopping which is why my current account’s just a few days old.
But yes, I do appreciate the concern and consideration!
This is more specific aimed at retroarch, not retro gaming in general.
I know, but sometimes new joiners on Lemmy tend to create new communities that are too specific due to the low population of the platform.
I just wanted to pointed those out in case OP wanted to have a look at those rather than having to animate a new community on their own

Glad to hear, have a good day and good luck with your communities!
