Hosted some friends for a BBQ on the weekend. We’re in a heat wave here in eastern Ontario, so of course the cold drinks were flowing, especially the beer. Despite seeing a couple of my former favourite local brews, I happily enjoyed my non-alcoholic choices, including a killer Vienna lager brewed right here in Brockville at 1000 Islands Brewery.
NA beers used to be such trash back in the 80s and 90s but now there are so many great options out there, and I am seriously grateful for that. I had a great time at the BBQ and enjoyed some cold ones with my friends - it doesn’t get much better. Cheers!

Athletic Brewing Co. is my go to for NA beer. I’m really loving how ubiquitous NA options are becoming in a lot of bars. If there’s one thing I learned, is I can’t control the amount I drink, but I can control what I drink.
