We have a handheld gaming PC community here at PC Handhelds and also two Steam Deck dedicated ones. I feel like Lemmy will work even better for the Steam Deck than Reddit.
I get a 404 error when I try to view that community from my home instance, but it definitely exists… I suspect it’s because the community has no posts at the time I’m writing this, maybe federation doesn’t work without any?
A tip that usually works for those, you want the URL of the community in its original instance (so https://lemmy.world/c/pchandhelds here) and you can search for it from your own home instance’s “Communities” Search page (“All” type filter).
It worked for me, coming from beehaw :)

Thank you! I was looking for a steam deck community on here!
Oh that’s awesome, definitely joining those. Where are the steamdeck specific ones?
The biggest one I could find is !steamdeck@sopuli.xyz.
