If there was ever a light and casual “eat it while you work on your laptop” meal, this has got to be it!

I don’t doubt the flavours, but it’s always seemed like a dry meal and hard to eat.

    Never tried it though.

Could you shred the fried chicken and mix it with the batter before making the waffles? Probably lose most of the crisp then…

    I’m all about the mouthlogistics

One of my favorite meals. Excellent with a pat of butter and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. Damn I need to get a waffle iron.

So you like chicken & waffles, eh? If you’re ever in the Chicago area, or Indianapolis, visit Kuma’s Corner and order the Sourvein. It’s a 10oz burger topped with deep fried chicken tenders, bacon, cheddar, waffle strips, maple syrup drizzle, and raspberry aioli, served on a pretzel bun. Be sure to add a fried egg when ordering to complete the experience. It is exactly as thick as you think it is, but holy shit.

Oh ye flipping gods I love chicken and waffles. This is one of those meals where if you mention it, people either look at you like you’re insane or you make a new best friend who is also part of the chicken and waffles fan club.

I’ve never had chicken and waffles and this point I’m too scared to ask an American why this isn’t a classified as a sandwhich as well.

I think you could definitely make it a sandwich with a piece of chicken between two waffles, but I’ve only ever seen it before as a waffle topped with the chicken. I guess that could be called an open-faced sandwich?

Are you supposed to get some chicken and some waffle in each bite? Or is this just an excuse to add some maple syrup to your fried chicken? Not hating just asking. I myself like to dredge the remaining maple syrup up off my plate using bacon after I’m done with my French toast or pancakes.

You’re brave, if I had a stack of chicken and waffles that high I wouldn’t have my laptop in falling distance.
