About the vote
Since a little while, you can vote for and suggest, what could be next for tchncs.de – use this thread to discuss suggestions or just use the Nextcloud poll in the link. :)
Most services will be tried without full commitment within the first while, because it is often unclear how well they scale, can be moderated or will be used. However i am not good at not continuing things… need to improve on that front.
What you can do here
Find the missing link, but also discuss certain software before voting or maybe for giving your vote (or submission) more weight – or just use it as a forum to find cool stuff.

@milan@discuss.tchncs.de Have you looked at Kbin as possible alternative to lemmy? https://kbin.pub/en
I am going to test both the coming weeks to choose one for disroot.
It’s very new, it only seems to have come about recently. Might want to wait for it to stabilize
oh? the first time i heard of it i think
@milan@discuss.tchncs.de yeah I learned about it also just few weeks ago after having already lemmy ansibled and ready for tests. check it out might be interesting (havent check it myself yet). @ernest@karab.in is the author.
hmm but i am already writing from lemmy and its php^^but ill keep it in mind, maybe some project comes up where it could be useful. first impression was nice in terms of design, i have to admit

undefined> LinkTree
@NiciWegener@discuss.tchncs.de Linktree is a freemium site, which alternative do you mean?
Most alternative suggestions are static sites that you host on your webspace or Wordpress site
There’s also https://www.singlelink.co
I very much would prefer so solution that creates a static site so that you do not have to run the admin server when you do not change it (if I would run it for myself) (so a solution like a hugo template would be cool, but i have no idea if that would work)
I don’t see why a static site generator wouldn’t work. I’m sure you can find a good template for jekyll/hugo or whatever else.
I found this one which works ok: https://github.com/tohn/linkshrubbery.git

that looks quite good, not sure how that would translate to a service on tchncs however, this is more of a host yourself kind of thing, e.g. on neocities.org

I just tried Vikunja and I totally loved it! Years ago I was searching for something open and that feels lightweight which includes support for gantt charts. Vikunja checks all boxes!
