Hey, thank you for this instance and this space, it is a great work.
-
One person tried to comment in one of my post, he received the “undetermined language” error, but selecting spanish he could comment successfully.
-
I am trying to comment to the same person, but when I try to avoid the “undetermined language” error (still present) choosing an option, there is no another option to pick.
-
I tried to modify the language of my community to see if this has effect in the comment mechanisms, but i can not select another option apart of “undetermined language”, choosing spanish or english does not has effect.
What should I do?
One possibility: If you go to your account’s Settings page, can you confirm that Spanish is one of your selected languages? It’s a multi-select list even though the radio buttons make it look like a single-select list.
If I select in my profile setting “spanish”, only appears spanish in the list when posting (and all the undeterm. posts are gone), or the same with english, but I cannot answer to this comment anyway https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/comment/110646
Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough — in the languages list, you have to click the circle buttons for “undetermined” and any languages you understand like English, Spanish, etc… You can enable as many as you want, even though it doesn’t look like it. (It’s a poor UI choice in the Lemmy software.)
Also, that link you posted gives me a 404 error.edit: I can see it if I select Espanol in my languages. Sigh. This seems like a bad technical decision.yes, post is no available for some reason, but it is still alive in Lemmygrad… anyway, maybe this could be improved in the next version of lemmy.
