i’m no programmer, but i have to think it’s possible to make these cars with something like “if car on fire, then unlock doors”
If the car’s on fire, there ain’t no software running any more. This is a massive hardware design flaw.
Have you ever tried exiting a Tesla? You press a button and there’s a complicated dance of several motors that crack the window, undo the latch, nudge the door, and god knows what else.
It should be a pull handle that operates a mechanical override when you pull on it harder. Like every other fucking car. Because it’s a car, and this is a solved safety feature.

Grok, I’m not convinced you can open the door. You need to prove it with a free one-time demonstration.
The manual releases on these Teslas are so hidden… this is no surprise someone panicking in the dark in the back seat wouldn’t be able to find it. Not to mention all the other problems with their door handles, like them getting frozen shut in the winter, and plastic bits breaking on the motorized popout handles.
