I cant tell if its dying/quite here or if its good, what do you all think of the community i built so far?

Im trying to make this community based safe place, but its not really working like that.

Also do you have any questions for me or the community?

It’s a pretty new community so I expect it to take some time to build its feed.

Personally, I’d love to see videos / articles where people tweak games to run better on lower end hardware (like LowSpecGamer used to do).

Dont stress about it, we all have real life stuff (including me) or things that get us sidetracked.

You shouldn’t feel like it is dying. Lemmy does not have a gigantic userbase like Reddit does.

You can consider your community active relative to how many members there are to the activity you perceive.

Even in !asklemmy@lemmy.world (a comm I moderate), we have about 36.2K members, yet the MAU is only about 9.5K.

Your comm has 280 members and the MAU seems to be 293, which means it’s pretty lively in here in relation to the number of members.

I like that it’s here, I just haven’t had anything to post yet. I have a PC laying around that’s made from some old family members’ computer parts from ~2013. I haven’t tried playing any games on it in a while; I’ll see if that still works and share photos if it does.

Don’t worry. I run some low volume communities myself, but it’s all about quality over quantity for me. This is an interesting one and I just subscribed. Since apparently low spec is now the future of PC gaming this place might get more busy.

Never heard of it before so I just subbed!

Thinkcentres: 6500T with igp playing Icewind Dale at the moment, 8500 i5 + rx 6400 for “bigger” games on windows like C&C.

seriously though there is over a gross dozens of you (subs) That’s probably pretty high for this backwaters internet.

If you really want to push it, to obnoxious levels, mebbies set some daft weekly challenges. Like the old 64k demos; I’m sure i remember an almost functional first level of doom (probly using DX)

Heres a game, “shadow of the collossus” who can make it run , playable, on less than 50$ ?
