As someone who has developed RPGs in the past I find that Mongoose Traveller 1e seems more cohesive. Maybe it is the expansion of the setting and additional options, or maybe that there seem to be new systems or mechanics constantly being added. Mongoose 2e seems too unmanageable. Is it just me?

Is it possible that you like 1e more because it’s “done” and not being added to?
Genuine question, I haven’t used 1e very much but I can see how having it stable for decades might reduce mental overhead (if that makes sense).
Of course that’s possible, but it could be that the smaller development team had a more unified approach.
