This is misleading: a general strike isn’t the same thing as a protest; you don’t have to come out for it. The real participation was undoubtedly much higher, once you include all the people who stayed home!

And of course that’s just the base temp, the Midwest was blasted with windchills around -40 give or take 10 degrees depending on the latitude

Legitimately weather where you’re risking frostbite within minutes if you aren’t properly dressed (and properly dressed means 3+ layers on your upper and lower body, multiple layers of gloves, full face coverings, multiple layers of socks, etc.) and even when properly dressed frostbite can sneak in if you stay outside too long

Ice will likely tuck their tails and run to another city and start over.

Reminds me of the hit and run tactics of the other terrorists in the Middle East.

It’ll be just like the time they tried to invade Russia in the winter.

Now for the next step of taking those masses of people and beating the ever loving fuck out of every ICE agent they see.

Good people so absolutely outnumber and overpower the bad.

When bringing a knife to a gunfight is too easy.

So bring some guns as well.

The thugs only ever go after the weak and easy targets.

I am so glad that ICE didn’t show up to the protest and start shooting.

      Ice was busy arresting priests

Edit: actually, the normal police took care of it for them. Pigs.

Nobody 🧵 asking the more important question: who owns the drone, and is it only taking footage?

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a fed one, live profiling the strikers.

I think if this was a fed drone, we wouldn’t get the footage.

Also, ICE is now better funded than the Israeli military, so I doubt they would use a consumer grade quadcopter.

Depends on how 🇺🇲 wants to achieve open source surveillance (OSS), now that Europe cut them off.

But we do need to be vigilant on what they are buying indeed.
