Just for that, Germany shouldn’t get any “right to exist” either. It’s another insidious and very effective rhetorical tool to demarcate the red lines where free speech ends. Just like: “Do you condemn Hamas?” (No resistance ever passes their purity test.) And: “You can’t compare anything to the Holocaust!” (Any later genocide is actually fine by them.)

german media is cooked. especially the “springer presse” newspapers, which have no nuance at all with their reporting on israel and gaza. protestors are immediately discredited with the term “israelhasser” (israel hater) and in context it just suggests that everyone who doesn’t support israel is an antisemite. smaller local media outlets often copy this rhetoric. the other big outlets only report on the ‘big stuff’ (only the big news that can’t be ignored) but it’s still uncritical and never goes into the dirty details.
i wish i was being hyperbolic. but german media at large is just a pure propaganda machine to serve the interests of german imperialism. (i didn’t mention unraine yet, that’s a whole other rabbithole)
