Same - I’m glad our fellow citizens are stepping up, because our “leaders” (“opposition” or otherwise) have done absolutely fuck-all.
The Mexican flags are dumb as fuck though. You can make all the arguments you want, at the end of the day you’re validating their narrative. You’re helping to turn people against you instead of for you.
If you want to fly a flag in protest, fly an American flag. We’re the fucking Americans here, not Trump and his gestapo.

The Icestapo is violating constitutional rights, murdering people in the streets, and violently oppressing innocent people across the country with zero legal oversight. Anybody who feels their narrative is validated by this response is already too far gone.
If that’s true, we’re doomed.
A lot of this is a lack of truthful information and Fox News spin. They’re just not being exposed to this reality, and they’re taught to reject it the few times they brush against it. Yeah, it’s dumb, but it’s where we’re at.
If it’s forced in front of enough of them long enough, some number will see it. That’s why when voting happens lately it’s a 20 point swing towards Democrats.
The Mexican flags sure make it look a lot like Fox News’s version of “invasion from Mexico” is a real thing. It helps to keep those people in their bubble.
Personally I don’t believe all Trump voters are ‘true believers’ who will follow him to the grave against all logic. The ones who exclusively watch Fox News are a subset, and I think many of them are being exposed to the horrors of the adminstration through social media, despite the corpo-fascists attempts to suppress that narrative.
I don’t use the big social media sites anymore, but from my limited exposure, the truth is still getting out there. Sooner or later most of them will wake up to the reality and only the true believers will be left defending it, at which point they will be an extreme minority. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough to stop the fascists, but its a step in the right direction.

I’ve seen leaf blowers in other videos being used against whatever it is they’re launching. That and waving their protest signs to blow the smoke away
