Reddit removed every comment he had ever made, including wonderful and well cited rebuttals of the right-wing bigotry of the day.
Probably more of the motivation than the listed offense.

A “bunny boiler” is a slang term for a dangerously obsessive, vengeful person (usually a woman) spurned by a lover, originating from the iconic 1987 film Fatal Attraction, where Glenn Close’s character boils a pet rabbit to terrorize her ex-lover’s family. The term describes an unstable individual prone to extreme, often violent, emotional outbursts after rejection, becoming a cultural shorthand for such behavior.

Though I do agree that Schumer should have fought more instead of capitulating. The feds who were suffering were still up for the fight.

Their current objective is Dems are responsible for everything the Republicans do.
I mean, I was going to make this joke, but this kind of ruins it. Though, maybe if the joke is seen first…
As part of the community team for LW, I’ve worked towards this goal as long as I’ve been here. I do not have the authority to make it policy.
But considering, A. There aren’t that many big communities, and B. Users seem to hate any kind of moderation anyway, it doesn’t seem like a big stress point at the moment.
The users have demanded that US news should be allowed in World News because anything that happens in the US affects the world. And, uh, I’ve tested this and it seems to be consensus. I hate it, but any mods that tried to enforce something sane have left, and the users have gotten their way.
I guess everyone just browses all anyway, for now. So they don’t want things removed that have comments regardless of where it’s posted.

24·5 天前I expect they’ll probably follow code anyway? Because you know as soon as dipshit is out of there, they’re going to have to inspect that thing for safety reasons. And the contractor probably doesn’t want the reputation of building absolute crap.
On the other hand, if he’s as good as picking construction contractors as he is at picking lawyers or cabinet positions, well…
There’s a healthy medium. With the shame that is. We’re probably not far off of it now.

13·6 天前If you really want a community to take off, you have to basically schedule yourself to make content there.
The lessons from every group I’ve grown (and haven’t) is that consistency is key. You have to develop the habit in other people, and it might take a long time to start.
If you want to be a Twitch streamer, for instance, you have to do it at the same time every day.

Uh huh. Yeah okay.
We’ve had enough projection for a lifetime this decade.
