Hey everyone, your friendly neighborhood unseenkiller here.
I just wanted to remind you that literally anything you want to design and release has the potential to improve GunCAD.
Stop doubting yourself. Stop seeking the approval of others. Stop chasing likes and follows. Make. Cool. Shit.
-Make 400 Glock 19 gen 3 remixes. -Make a texture pack of someone else’s design. -Change the hardware style of someone’s design to suit your own needs. -Design a catapult. -Release guides and documentation without even designing a gun. -Make a design for an unpopular caliber. -Focus on sustainable designs with readily available parts. -Focus on weird designs with 3 parts kits left in the world.
Literally everything, if released with all your work and materials, has the potential for improving GunCAD.
Your work and design isn’t finished when you release it, it’s the starting point for everyone else. It’s not about you, as a dev, it’s about us, as a community.
Trust me, having a following isn’t helpful or awesome. Enjoy your distraction-free life, and make awesome shit.
Inspirational🥺😩
Real and true
me: looking at my catalog of half finished unreleased designs…
So far I’ve learned how to edit hole sizes/ make minor frame adjustments in auto desk mesh mixer. Is there a way to make new stipples with that software? I fear editing too much will fuck with the original designs strength. I think I read a comment that said there’s damn near a college course on 3D2A cad stuff? All I can find is the vid with hoffman. Is that what they were referring to?
There’s some good videos on Odysee, but a lot of it just comes with time and getting better at whatever CAD software you’re using. There’s typically a dozen different ways to do the same thing with some ways taking 10x as long for the same outcome.

My two favorite resources outside of Guncademy.
Holy shit dude thank you.
There’s a guncademy discord server, we hold class every Friday night - the invite link is on my website.
Once I’m done moving I’ll go back to teaching, right now it’s in the hands of my other teaching staff.
Right on thanks for showing me the way. Hope your move goes well.
I can’t ever stay up late enough to ever get on there when your hosting the classes live. Is there any way to access them after the fact?
We do not record class, it prevents students from participating. Make the time.
Eagerly awaiting the Discord ban response
Make cool shit is my core mantra.
yes… this is very good advice…
ive been working on 10/22 receivers of late …
instead of stl begging, ive been more proactive in trying how to ‘remix’ and modify existing models.
When you create a design, you are actually building two things: the design, and yourself.
It’s okay if your design is not all that popular. It’s okay if nobody other than you builds it! Because no matter what the outcome of the design is, you have made yourself a more skilled developer, and that is just as important.
We’re not just building guns, we’re building engineers, and we’re building a community. That’s 3D2A.
Learning 3D Modeling in this space helped me switch careers and earn more money. Build those skills people 💪🏻
@unseenkiller On it 🫡
Inject this into my veins
Going to post my remix of reds telescoping brace
As someone who doesn’t know jack shit about fuck, getting into Fusion360 and dicking around has allowed me to release some cool stuff like remixes and my first self-developed item being the HRF-type magwell for the DB Alloy.
I’m retarded, and still did it. Get out there and tinker. Make cool shit.
Hell yeah. I’ve always tried to say this as well. Many would-be creators see all the cool stuff being released and say “its all been done”, but it really hasn’t. There are always improvements to be made.
hi DNL!!! <3
Glad to see you’re still killing it ❤️
thanks for helping me to get started <3
I will say this- even though it’s the most deplorable item in existence for the dear22- without unseenkiller saying just shut up and do it I did and people actually downloaded it on makerworld!!! lol now I’m motivated to actually buy fusion360 and start taking classes- there’s so much I want and instead of hoping for others to remix or create it for me I’m gonna just do it myself! Thanks again bro! Sincerely the cursed Dear guy lol!
