Wow i hate everyone in that exchange
I’ve never seen anyone convince me of the sincerity of their argument that dropping the atomic bombs was necessary except those who truly believe it was necessary to frighten the communists. They’re the only ones I believe.
I’ve met some Chinese who were like “hell yeah they deserved it”, pure vengeance, but obviously that comes from a very emotional space and circumstances.
