I always believed its genesis was in the whole “all politics is sexual pathology” meme when we’d make fun of all the people somehow using sexual relationships to explain politics (or otherwise just being horny over politicians). Like the “Bernie sanders is my abusive boyfriend” girl and all the horny right-wing fan art of hot trump, or the obsession with aoc’s feet among people that otherwise hated her. Or whatever this is.
