I always liked Scrubs, and a part I always appreciated was at least back when it was on it was often preferred by the medical community as a whole lot more grounded and realistic depiction of life in a hospital, at least compared to contemporaries like House or Grey’s Anatomy, which often was over the top drama and superstar genius doctors tackling rare pathologies. It better showed the routines, the real pressures and tasks the people who are trying to keep us alive face, and the stress and tragedy when they inevitably, and maybe more often than not, fail to keep their patients alive. Some of the most memorable episodes are the ones when the staff just get a rapport and relationship with their patients, and as a result it always felt like a more humanistic approach to Hospital TV. They also had a real talent for musical choices, the soundtrack was phenomenal and I really loved the musical episodes.
yes to all and to the songs, so many songs i can immediately remember from scrubs…
