What I think? How did you have the social battery to go to a party. That’s what I think. All joking aside, I hope you had a great time.

well, you see, its pretty empty. ;) twas a nice evening. one of the kids greeted me with “what are you wearing?!” and later declared she’s gonna call me a lady, bc i looked like a lady. no discussions needed.

maybe i should tell people my new name some day. but that sounds like effort.

Gorgeous! I just wore some similar lacy gloves to a concert a couple of weeks ago. Decided fingerless is way better since the quality of finger stitching is often bad in inexpensive ones and it drives me insane almost as much as socks with annoying stitching. Lol. The sleeves are really cute, too. I’m always a big fan of lace, tulle, chiffon, and other see-through layers in general.

it is a strange coincidence. the only thing i wear that i bought after hatching is the black dress. everything else did gather over the last 10 years (gloves are even older, from goth-era). i came home from workthinking i had nothing that would fit the theme of the evening.

when i got all the stuff, i didn’t know for what i needed big ass butterfly earrings, or nailpolish of that color. yesterday it all made sense. the best thing abt coming out is that you can just do all the stuff you thought you’d like. and then like it.

your observation of cheap gloves is spot on btw.

I love your style in general. As someone who wears all black most of the time, I have learned that varying texture is often necessary for adding visual interest. And you are clearly a master of that.

I like the dress. I saw in another comment that it’s a dress that you wear all the time, and I can see why. It’s got a really elegant cut and looks super versatile

ty! i am still working on ‘allowing’ myself color. i don’t know how much, bc i like black pretty much. but a plain black dress makes anything colored shine even brighter. i guess that’s something to explore. especially on fotos texture doesn’t translate well. i fon’t want to be the black blob forever. ;(
