It’s arguably the best Nintendo console for home brewing and playing retro games
I only got one recently to mod - mostly to play Wii games with my 5 year old - and it is great. The breadth of games natively available is amazing - NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, DS. While a lot of Wii U games were re-released and extended for the Switch, the originals are perfectly serviceable.

Exactly! I have never played Windwaker or Twilight Princess and I look forward to their definitive editions on the Wii U.
It’s a pity it didn’t see more success because it had so much potential. The tablet had a lot of utility.
