Watched this movie for the first time today, I felt that a Wes Anderson film would be good for a Sunday afternoon. This was a great movie with a very unique setting and fast. William Dafoe is scary, the tone and pacing are great. There are a lot of mustaches:
“Wes Anderson had all of his male cast members grow their head/face hair in the months leading up to production, and then they were each stylized once they arrived on set. “I think we certainly have the maximum supply of mustaches in this film,” says Anderson.”

Great movie, indeed. I also recommend you watching “The Darjeeling Limited”, 'Moonrise Kingdom" and “The French Dispatch”. Also, “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou”, which kinda resembles me earlier works of Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
I’ve seen Asteroid City today. Man, what a great movie. Definitely on a par with The Grand Budapest Hotel. The colors. The composition. The camera shots. The montage. Marvelous!
Did you notice that the girl in the opening scene is wearing a Mayhem (the black metal band) t-shirt? It’s nice to recognise those things as a metalhead :D
Great movie! When I watched it for the first time, I rewatched it twice the following days. It was my introduction to Wes Anderson movies. Almost every other movie felt like it’s lacking attention to detail after this. I can also recommend “Isle Of Dogs”, I loved that movie.
