During Trump 1.0 there was a lot of guesswork about who was actually writing them. Maybe some reporters hunches were right. But as far as I know with Trump 2.0 - I don’t think even access journalists have any idea. Also a Hexbear pointed out that there are em dashes in the posts which are 100% unTrumpian and most likely AI.
I’m just imagining like, he’s rambling at someone holding up an actual tape recorder, then they have to take the tape and play it next to a computer microphone for an LLM speech to text, then that gets run through another shitty LLM to try to clean it up, and this is the result. 40% hallucinated and 40% mistranscribed slop with only a slimy nougat core remaining from whatever incoherent, slurred mess his worm-eaten brain began with.
That could be exactly what’s happening. My wild hunch based on no actual evidence is Trump has gotten so super-lazy and he can’t even be assed to post. In my head I can hear him say “Why should I post? I got aides and AI to do it for me.”
I think he has been having people type them up for years. But I think during Trump 1.0 the media certainly made it seem that although sometimes other people would write them from being to end - he was usually doing the whole thing.
I definitely think there’s some sort of transcription going on, maybe he dictates to an aide, who knows. It sort of has the cadence of his rambling speech patterns rather than his old school tweets from back in the day (that were rarely as long as his posts now, maybe that’s just a character limit thing tho).

There was video of him telling people what to tweet (I guess truth) in a war room recently. Was it the Venezuela conflict? I don’t remember.
