It makes menus hard to scan, and a bunch of the icons Apple has chosen make no sense and are inconsistent between system applications.     I thought the answer was going to be hidden bar, a utility that let’s users choose which ones to be visible.

    But I’m also surprised nobody’s said, “install Linux” as the simple trick.
