Nonviolence also “works” when there is a violent group that makes change necessary, which your movement can then be used to undercut. Like socialists being used to undercut leftists, or MLK’s liberal civil rights being used to undercut the black panthers’ marxism.

But half measures led us to this point where we are not just bank rolling the hitlers of the past … cause we did that… but directly committing a holocaust… we got camps… we got it all. People are still in denial and they lack the framework to understand. I see the USA like the yankkkee sees north korea. I know now with certainty that the liberal is no ally. Did you know they have liberals in Israel. At the end of the day it is just crabs in a bucket ladder pulling with a dash of Anthropocene … there really is no such thing as a victim but anti social systems… I stand in the shadow of truth as it doles out its indiscriminate justice. Who will pity the yankkkee in the future?

Think your timeline is a little off. Youre thinking of malcolm x not the panthers. They came later.

King was also coming around pretty steadily.

also CIA and FBI had a big hand in orchestrating how those movements ended up. FOI in recent years shows just how much manipulation was going on in the background to try and prevent any social changes and if they were to succeed, damage control them to levels that are reversible (like we see today)

Amm… That means British Monarch in India had conscience, when Mahathma Gandhi was promoting non-violence and hunger strike. Which I don’t think is true.

In India it worked because British was sure that if they use force against someone promoting non-violence the retaliation will be uprising of a violent mob. Atrocities in India reached a high were majority of the people were affected by it and fed up by it. Like the modern times it was not possible to sway the public opinion through media of any kind.

Gandhi was a saint in practice‌, but more than that he was shrewd politician, who identified the weakness of British monarchy in India.

I don’t know much about American History. But I believe that America not having a conscience could be one of the reason why the non-violence will not have worked. I am not sure if that is the primary reason. Can someone with more knowledge in American History provide an elaboration on this point? I feel there will be some missing context.

Well it is a global capitalist system… the rich bow in accordance to their debt to other nations. It is about leverage. Yet it seems India is thinking twice about its allegiance to some. This is why some celebrate the idea of isolationism which is only a short term solution to a bigger problem. We can not exist as we do without international trade. So we are kinda in a modern day pickle. So the commies like to dig out the root. The usa is the head of the global cartel. India will choose a side then assume its debt. The rich in india will be fine but the working class will suffer either way. Hitler was a hero of his people and he painted pretty pictures and kissed babys. FRAMEWORK FRAMEWORK YA’LL We don’t need great men but a educated many. THE DISTURBING TRUTH ABOUT “MAHATMA GANDHI”

Non-violence was successfully used in the US during the civil rights protests. The quote feels correct for those protesting because change is slow and there are certainly some people without conscious. The non-violence movement displayed very clearly the oppressor and the oppressed and it eventually swayed public opinion enough to lead to lasting political change.

The brutal imperial empire that is yankkkee has many heads. It is a cartel owned by the rich of the world. It is a tool to keep the rich in power and it only serves the interest of capital. We go through cycles of pacification. Remember it is all about managing perception. In the dog pile only one !d!ot comes out with the ball. We like our lambs of sacrifice… always worried about lone wolves… they know the can curate the movement and in the monopoly owned school books they write the story of how it goes. We can’t see past our nose while they have plans from decades ago. Life is merely but a dream ya’ll…

Last time I checked change was fast and only moving in one direction. The USA is committing a genocide. 40+ years in the imperial core and all I have witnessed is decay. I also question those who think things have improved. In the USA slavery is still legal it is just obfuscate behind the prison walls of poor $$$ boys and girls who never had a chance to begin with. The milk toast opinions of some I find dangerous and shallow

I don’t think the civil rights movement was at all “non-violent”. just not “mass violence”.

outside the white washing it’s gotten. there was lots of violent and “silent violence”(using paint “bombs”) to disrupt and force attention to the needs of the many. from the desires of the few.

Why do you think suburbs exist and car centrick societies with cameras everywhere… If violence never worked, why do they spend so much time making our infrastructure so difficult to navigate. Under the magnification glass like cattle moving through the stalls only to have the air gun placed on the back of our necks. People isolated then they kill themselves. I see the world I live in as it is not how I wish it were. Our ability to adapt is our strength and our weakness.

The Minnesota nurse getting executed in the street did far more to hurt the trump administration than if he’d pulled out his gun and shot the agents first.

In fact, the latter would’ve been a major boon to the fascists.
