minus-squareitsonlygeorge@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down21·1 year agoLet the boys race! For fucks sake. Rules suck when they DQ racers over technicalities.
minus-squareSatouKazuma@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up12·1 year agoLol this isn’t just a technicality. It’s a major part of the sporting regulations.
minus-squareitsonlygeorge@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down5·1 year agoWell test every car then. DQ everyone who fails.
minus-squareSatouKazuma@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down5·1 year agoThat isn’t even possible given the amount of time it would take. Lewis, is that you?
minus-squareitsonlygeorge@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down2·1 year agoThere are only 20 cars. How hard is it to measure 20 planks?
minus-squarejimbolauski@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·1 year agoIt takes about 30 minutes to check a plank. If it can be done in parallel then that’s not too bad, if not 10 hours is too long.
minus-squareSatouKazuma@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down1·1 year agoWould depend how long parc fermé lasts after the race, what equipment they’re using to test, etc.
minus-squareitsonlygeorge@reddthat.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down2·1 year agoI’d like to see how many cars fail.
minus-squareSatouKazuma@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down1·1 year agoI’m not sure, but it’s telling that Merc and Ferrari were the only teams who ran their cars so aggressively at the USGP. RB and McLaren actually raised their cars and planned for it, thus not failing the post-race inspection.
