      Sandwich? You’re assuming the person didn’t buy a single slice of toast, with butter.

      northern UK from the sounds of it

      but also most of Europe probably. won’t be an amazing sandwich but you can get something for that much in a bakery in Germany at least

        I could rarely ever get myself to spend so much on a sandwich. I always try to get the cheapest pastries I can at bakeries or at store bakeries simply because I lack the funds for fancy sandwiches and just don’t see the worth in paying so much more for something I could prepare myself.

        The only two times I can remember buying one of these was back in 2019 when I was visiting a friend and wanted to get something “fancy” and the other time was at the airport when I landed in Finland and desperately needed food, so I got a panini, also in 2019, I realised. Both times were kinda meh.

        Like, compared to our favourite kebab joint where a kebab costs 5€, it’s just not worth it.
