Samsung Messages will be discontinued in July as part of Google Messages upgrade

9to5google.com

Samsung has shared an “End of Service Announcement” for its Messages app in the US. Google Messages is the intended replacement.

Their reasons were nonsense and I believe they simply didn’t feel like supporting SMS anymore, change my mind
