These lazy hippies couldn’t even record the music for the other half of the film, smh my head.
the pairing of the 1973 Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon with the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. This produces moments of apparent synchronicity where the film and album appear to correspond.
On Wednesdays, one of my fave DJs starts streaming industrial music on twitch, at the same time as the “Western Wednesday” movie watch party on Mastodon.
On Thursdays, another of my fave DJs starts streaming goth music on twitch, around the same time as the “Comedon” movie watch party on Mastodon.
So I’ve done a lot of “Industrial Westerns” and “Gothic Comedy” watching and sometimes catch similar synchronicities. Oh yeah there was that time on Fridays that the Friday Thriller watch party was doing Rambo movies at the same time that this poetry reading I wanted to attend was streaming on zoom. That was fun. The downside is, last time I went to the movie theater I really wanted to play some music or chat with someone.
