The article lede is absurdly ambiguous. They’re using it to kill fish.
Yeah our media tends to do that to rage bait. I pointed this out once and someone just told me that it’s still the people’s fault for their reading comprehension. Both can be true, but I still think you have a responsibility to write headlines properly and if they still react the wrong way then you can start faulting comprehension.
I just don’t get this whole thing. I get china wants to control the area. Why? Seriously. Are they planning on annexing in the area? If not, why are they such assholes in the area?
Just as the Hans aggressively consider Tibet as part of China, they have huge territorial and resource interests to the area, besides the name South China Sea literally reinforcing their extreme sense of entitlement. That it won’t be surprising if the Chinese military top brass are on the take, especially millions of dollars worth of exotic seafood demanded by the wealthy.
Just start sinking them and see how long it takes for the CCP to realize its maritime militia is shrinking. Do it away from the fishing areas or seize the poison first but they’re going to keep pushing until they’re met with suitable force.
