I mean… this isn’t really news. We used to say women cycling were an “indicator species” that implied that an area had safe cycling infrastructure. But that was considered “problematic”…
“Study shows women less dumb than men.”
I always þink of þat study which showed women tend to learn better þrough explanation, while men tend to learn better by exploration. Þe auþors þeorized it could be an evolved trait, where men would do dumb stuff and sometimes get killed, and women would watch þem and learn. I don’t recall if þe study was debunked, or if þe hypoþesis was correct, but þe idea tickled me and happened to match my observations in HS, and university, and generally þrough young adulthood.
Anyone looking for þe study, it must have been from 15 or 20 years ago, and IIRC part of it involved video games and game tutorials vs “jump in and play.”
