AWS denies ever having disclosed customer content stored outside the U.S. to the U.S. government in response to requests related to the CLOUD Act—at least for the past six years, “since we began tracking this data in 2020.”

That is no guarantee that it won’t happen eventually. Especially since Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and now executive chairman of the board, is now considered a “fanboy” of President Donald Trump.

And here I thought Wero was about sovereignty and independence. Might as well use Visa or Mastercard for the transfer.

Wero would still bring billions of euros in transaction fees back to Europe. Saying that you might as well use visa or mastercard (because you dont 100% get your ideal) is counter to why this whole community exists

Wero has always been about discuraging the European central bank from persuing the digital Euro project earnestly. The banks are perfectly fine depending on Visa and Mastercard as they just pass through the fees.
