I’ve watched a lot of Crazy SciFi from that era; B5, DS9, Farscape, Stargate.
But never Lexx. So I was wondering how well it does and how good it’s holding up the test of time.
Low budget sci fi sex comedy. If you like that sort of thing, great. I found it unfunny and off putting .
Filed next to “Hyperdrive” in my to-watch list (British 2006 scifi comedy)
As a teenager when it first came out, Eva Haberman was the entire reason I watched the show. Lol
I haven’t watched it since though.
It’s uh… Let’s be real, it’s a mess.
A lot of the best DNA of Lexx lived on in Farscape, but Farscape is a far better show.
Is Lexx worth watching? Kinda, yeah. At least for a few episodes just to get the feel of it. The setting has a lot of nineties weirdness to it, and if nothing else the episode with Tim Curry is worth tracking the show down for (thankfully it’s episode 2 or 3 IIRC), but go in with very low expectations and be prepared to drop it as soon as it starts to drag, which will be very quickly.
I tried to watch it a few months ago having never seen it. I only lasted a few episodes.

Late to the party, but if you didn’t watch it already, give it a shot. Season 1 (the original movies) is a good introduction. Season 2 is my all-time favorite season mainly because I just love the “planet of the day” genre. A lot of people love season 3 which I personally find pretty uninteresting except the first episode. Season 4 is pure trash gold.
Isambard Prince kissing a sweaty Xenia Seeberg will live in my brain forever
edit: if you’re going to watch this at ALL avoid the Echo Bridge dvds. they cram an entire season on like 1 disc until it looks like a Sega CD game.
It had some really cool pulp ideas and black humor and too-infrequent boobs. I don’t like when satire when is so on the nose it makes you see your own nose, like Tommy Wiseau directing a Verhoeven movie; musical episode(!) was cool
