    That ratio is going to change rapidly in a war, too, if China’s simulation is anything to go by. Many US ships within a wide, wide radius will be obliterated from the land before the PLAN even engages. Unfortunately, the people who will decide on war won’t be sailing on those ships, so it might not stop them.

      Yeah, every war game I’ve seen ends in an utter disaster for US in the first few hours of the war. And as we’ve seen in Ukraine, US weapons don’t actually live up to the mythology that’s been built around them.
