      Hey, hey! That’s an unfair take. They also kill adults, seniors in particular.

        Yeah but the public doesn’t pearl clutch like they do when they “think of the children”.

            No, it’s because they are particularly dangerous to children.

            If you peruse statistics of pedestrian deaths, you will find both children and seniors are the most frequent victims. Look it up.

              I think the point might be that SUVs due to their height have worse blind spots e.g. in front of the hood, which would probably impact children more.

              So this particular characteristic would endanger children more than adults and seniors who are taller.
