    The most famous of Hoadley’s works. He was Professor Emeritus of Building and Construction Materials at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This appears to be an authentic piece, and could fetch a good sum at auction.

    I don’t know about identifying wood but I can confidently identify this: yep, it’s a valuable piece of meme history.

    I actually need that book. (I’ve got a cabinet I want to modify, and want the new pieces to match.)

      Even identifying the wood will only take you halfway there, there’s no way you’ll find another piece exactly the same shade out of the box. With sanding/staining you can get there though.
