Maybe it’s because I’m not really a smart phone person… I got all notifications turned off, even on my lock screen. The only sound it makes is when someone calls me or texts me. Regarding media, I have an old TV, it’s not smart, so I don’t actually need it. Reagarding the phone missing, this rarely happens and I usually just tell my wife to call my phone.

It’s personal preference. I’m a very smart tech person but like privacy and hate smart watches. But, they are handy and really life-changing for some.

I keep most of my notifications off, but I hate my phone making sound and I’m not a fan of having to take it out of my pocket to check stuff.
With a smart watch I can just get a gentle vibration on my wrist when I get a text or something, and often tap it to send a reply.
It’s also a pedometer and if I’m walking I can use it to get pedestrian navigation directions without having to pull my phone out.

It’s 100% because you’re not a smart phone person. They are worthless without a smart phone. I like mine because I can use it to check 2fa codes on my Authenticator app without needing to pull up my phone. Which I’m usually on my laptop or desktop when I need them so it is a measure more convenient than pulling out my phone.

I mean, I do have a smart phone (I’m typing from it right now 😂), but I see it as a tool, that’s it.

The 2FA thing, yeah, I agree, that could come in handy, I use 2FA a lot 😂.
