I was riding my bike and all of a sudden a storm rolled in. I was getting close to my house but I started to feel the air get really fuzzy and the hairs on my arms started standing up. The air smelled like ozone and things really didn’t feel right.

I immediately stopped and got off my bike and laid down. Lightning hit a post near me instead.

I was an exchange student in the US, and was on my usual morning walk to the department when this big homeless man stopped me and asked for money. I felt bad, but told him no anyway, since I didn’t have any cash on me. I kept walking on, but my gut instinct told me I should have done something to help the guy out. I remembered I had a protein bar in my bag, so I figured I’ll give that to him instead. At least he’ll have a bit of something to eat.

So I grabbed the bar, walked back and found the guy panhandling not far from where I first met him. I went up to him and kindly offered him the bar, explaining that it was the only thing I had to give today. He looked at me angrily and shouted “You can shove it up your ass!” with his thick American accent as he walked off.

So yeah, not listening to my gut too much these days anymore.

Popular kid in high school always rubbed me the wrong way. He was the super go lucky kid that was always overly positive. I told my friends that something about him creeped me out and I didn’t want to hang out with him. They told me if I didn’t like him it must be me, not him.

6 years after graduating he killed his girlfriend and then himself.

One time I was listening to headphones walking home from the train in the rain after work in a major US city. I had an uneasy feeling and spun around ending up walking backwards. I’m face to face with a stranger who is uncomfortably close to me matching pace. I awkwardly said, “Hi.” Then, we were both uncomfortable. Nothing happened. I took my headphones off and continued a few streets to my apartment. Maybe something would of happened had I not spun around.

Ngl, A LOT of stuff to do with avoiding police.

If your in the game long enough you grow a spidey sense for trouble. Police, robbery etc.

I didn’t deal, I was low level drug user for 12 yrs.

I would get these weird thoughts that were unspecifically different from the rest, and would seem to come out of nowhere. “Don’t go today” “turn here” stuff like that.

Turns out the spot was raided that day, and a shooting right where I’d of been. Sometimes I didn’t listen to my gut, and those were the times I got caught up. Like the 6 arrests, 3 armed robberies, and the time I got caught in a damn drive by turned police shooting, now THAT was crazy af. Dude was just firing up the street from intersection, people running, I dove behind a car. Nah no thanks lol.

Im clean now, and try to ONLY follow my gut, cause let’s face it…it’s right everytime, and our brains overconplicate stuff…guess what? I’m happy as hell these days (:
