You have Revolt for that :)

The most obvious answer you’ll get is https://matrix.org/ which is a protocol, and the flagship app is element, but there are many more clients.

However for an almost identical experience there is also https://revolt.chat/

Idk if this is federated but the Matrix chat protocol usually comes up when discussing Discord alternatives

I joined kbin, mastodon, and pixelfed while deleting my Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I’m not ready yet to give up Discord. I love activities and being able to use their built in games to play with my mom who lives far away from me.

I haven’t tried it but someone mentioned this in another thread.
