President Biden on Thursday responded to former President Trumpās Christmas post with a religious message to love your enemies.
Trumpās unusual Christmas message, which he shared on Truth Social, called for various people he sees as ālooking to destroyā the nation to ārot in Hell.ā
Biden shared an article from The Hill about Trumpās post on X, formerly known as Twitter, and added a message to poke at the former president.
āThereās an expression they say in church sometimes: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you,ā the president said.
They both do. In fact, Trump much moreso.
Biden is (rightly) getting tons of shit for it because heās supposed to represent everyone to the left of American fascism, which doesnāt include supporting genocide and otherwise propping up Israeli fascism.
Neither of them is the good guy. Thereās awful guy and many times worse guy.
Most Americans agree with you (and me) that itās undemocratic and should change. The people with the power overwhelmingly donāt, though, since theyāre on average much richer, older and more authoritarian than the population in general.
Also, they donāt want to jeopardize their legal bribes.
