While I don’t like that AAA games are now $70+, the game provided plenty of content for that money and honestly it’s been a long time coming that prices were raised since it hasn’t really adjusted for inflation in ages. Paying $50 for NES games in my tweens for games that were sometimes completely garbage would have been the equivalent of ~$115.

For me to get through the game plus all the challenges of hard mode, I had put in more than 100 hours and it didn’t feel grindy, but at times way too difficult on hard.

Was it nostalgia that got me to buy it? Yeah ofc, and basically >75% of all who bought it too, and that doesn’t have to be a negative. But did it live up to my expectations? Also yeah.

Some games just aren’t for you and this one wasn’t for you but was for me.
