It’s available online at the internet archive if you want to see it before you buy it. It’s a beautiful, visually inventive movie. The story is heavy handed propaganda which I don’t mind personally.
I haven’t seen the other movie by the same director, The Cranes Are Flying, except for a clip of the famous long shot shared on Reddit.
Arrow’s The Warriors release for me. I also bought some Radiance box sets, Franco Nero and Dino Risi.
Mel Brooks’ style of humor can definitely get corny sometimes. Spaceballs is better depending on how much of a Star Wars fan you are. I think Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles gets the humor mixture better.
Apu Trilogy 4K
Trainspotting 4K
Blood Simple 4K
Lone Star 4K
Chantal Akerman Masterpieces, 1968–1978 Blu-ray boxset
Mudbound Blu-ray
Homevideo and boutiquebluray also cover all HK movies. For only Hong Kong movies, I’m not aware of one.
Thanks for the news. I need to check out Blast of Silence it seems.

Well deserved. Great body of work.
Are there any titles you are specifically looking for?
Learned a lot reading some of these links. Thanks. I have more movies to watch.
That is a nice edition. I’ve never heard of the manga (I’m out of touch with newer manga), but seeing how nice the book was made makes me want to at least give it a try.
My favorites that I own is the Akira boxset or the Nausicaa boxset. The Nausicaa is nice because the dimensions are huge and you can Miyazaki’s detailed drawings better.
I forgot HKL released Riki-Oh. I would like to own that.
I’m picking up Days of Heaven and Mean Streets.
Weird list of his movies. It would be better as an eclipse set, but they discontinued that line.
Cops vs Thugs. It’s my second time watching it and it’s still great. Top tier police/yakuza film and top tier Kinji Fukasaku film.
The Battle with Honor and Humanity series should have been in the Criterion Collection. They practically released the dvd set ages ago.
Just another fan.
I’ve never seen EO, but the comments I’m reading about it has peaked my interest.
Cameraman, Gold Rush, Safety Last, Days of Heaven, McCabe and Mrs Miller
I’ve been watching silent films and documentaries lately and the rest are 4ks I’ve been waiting to buy.
