Elkenders@feddit.ukto ADHD@lemmy.world•How do you feel about and handle people who call ADHD a disease/sickness?English1·13 days agoTerminal in the way life is terminal?
Less perpetual anxiety and I imagine a slower racing brain. Sometimes I feel like I’m playing life on an emulator with fast forward constantly on. Also existing outside your brain without this layer of abstraction. I feel so aware of constituent parts of reality and seeing things as a whole.
Less deeply effected by injustice or a lack of logic. Fewer instances of upsetting people by naturally adhering to more socially accepted ways of presenting thoughts and communicating.
Easier, less exhausting. Though I know neurotypicals have their own struggles.
I’d be very surprised if this were a fully human written post.

Elkenders@feddit.ukto Mental Health@lemmy.world•Daily mindfulness practice reduces anxiety for autistic adultsEnglish6·1 month agoNo shit. If I had the time and the constant motivation to add yet another job to do I’d feel better. I do everything I’m told. Medication, therapy, exercise, sleep, mindfulness, eat well. They all feel like work and they in themselves are draining. And them I have to actively avoid cruxes because they’re unhealthy. Binge eating, alcohol, smoking. Also draining. It’s all exhausting.

Elkenders@feddit.ukto [Migrated, see pinned post] Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•Would you rather always have a full phone battery or full tank of petrol?English2·1 month agoYeah, I just find a gigantic metal vehicle so inefficient and overkill for what people often use it for. With equivalent infrastructure long journeys make sense by train and short journeys by local transport or bike or something. It’s seeing one person constantly moving themselves in a huge car designed for 4 or 5 people which seems so inefficient to me.
Userbase I imagine and support cost for paid software.
