

We have that in Avatar, and the chuds all hated it because the face of absolute evil was the face of the American military. They all cried about “nuance” and how there’s “no plot” because to them water running downhill isn’t interesting, they’re waiting for the “swerve” and it never comes. They are waiting for their fable to impart the wisdom that “nothing can ever change for the better” that normally comes from Hollywood, and it never comes. Which forces them to confront that they are the baddies, which they cannot do, so they make up the myth that there’s “no plot” because the actual plot cannot be internalized by them.





Yet to see the “9000-year old demon/dragon presents as a scantily-clad 9 year old girl” trope appear in Hollywood. Japan has it’s own flavor of reaction
