If you are referring to the DDR, I have to strongly disagree. That wall was designed to keep people in, not fascists out.
LeLachs@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•For my mom the year of the Linux desktop it's already over19·2 months agoThere also are distros with some kind of similar safety net. Immutable distros usually let you Boot previous versions if an update breaks something. This usually means that they need a lot of storage tho. https://itsfoss.com/immutable-linux-distros/
Her Wikipedia article says she became popular in south Korea for telling stories about her life in north Korea on social media. Unfortunately, I cannot read/speak korean. Does anyone know how she described it there?

Für den Fall, dass mal wieder irgendwo ein Schlaufon benötigt wird, habe ich hier zwei Möglichkeiten, wie man eins auf einem Linux PC simulieren kann:

LeLachs@lemmy.mlto Open Source@lemmy.ml•l am completely new in the world of Linux. I wish to build up a computer having Proxmox, MX Linux and casa os, also retaining windows.2·5 months agoThey can technically but you will run into all sorts of problems. A Server is usually on all the time while a general purpose computer only periodically. There are two routes I see how you might get this to work:
- If you use more of the general purpose PC: Just run a Type 2 hypervisor like virtualbox on your normal desktop OS and run all your server stuff in there. You can also run Proxmox inside virtualbox. This is called nested virtualization.
- If you prefer to learn more virtualization: Run Proxmox, then run your preferred Desktop OS as a virtual machine inside Proxmox and pass through your GPU, mouse and Keyboard. This is called PCI/USB passthrough
Both approaches take a lot of ram (I recommend at least 16 GB).
Hope this helps :)
Und dann sitzt du 5-10 Minuten rum und fragst dich, was du jetzt mit der ganzen gewonnenen Zeit machst.
“Error connecting to PSN Servers” (no longer exist)
Weird, last time I used it with nixos running KDE under wayland. Worked without complaint.
The only problem was, that the service did not start (or wasn’t there). You had to open a terminal and manually type in
sudo spacenavd
. After that, everything else was plug and play.
Alright, lets compare it to another GPU.
According to this source , the RTX 4070 costs about 500$ and does 466 TOPS of INT8
I dont know if TOPS is a good measurement tho (I dont have any experience with AI benchmarking)
