  • I also hate how so much of the internet is entangled with discord. Have a question about a game? Join our discord. Have a question about a mod for the game? Join this other discord. Have a question about a programming language or app? Believe it or not, discord.

I haven’t used it in a few years but I just remember constantly feeling like chomsky-yes-honey whenever I’d join a server. Parsing conversations on there is a goddamn nightmare idk how people use it without being plugged in 24/7

  • Youtube tutorials are super helpful. Depending on what the software is and how much time you have, you can get a free trial for either Udemy or O’Reilly learning. O’Reilly (paired with a firefox plugin thqt lets you download the books as an epub) was how I got my most recent job.

Told them I have a vast experience with SQL, reports, PowerBI and Python for Data Analysis. Kinda a half-truth. I’ve done reporting through Salesforce, visualization through excel and Python for simple scripts lol. I just spent a good amount of time the last few months going a bit more in depth learning SQL and Tableau to the point where I could mix that knowledge with what I had actually done at a previous job.

So yeah I guess in the interview just talk about it in more broad terms while peppering in any details that you learn about the specific software.

  • A few Trump ones:

“California is going to have to ration water. You know why? Because they send millions of gallons of water out to sea, out to the Pacific, because they want to take care of certain little tiny fish that aren’t doing very well without water, to be honest with you”

“I want to thank the White House Historical Association and all of the people that work so hard with Melania, with everybody, to keep this incredible house or building, or whatever you want to call it — because there really is no name for it; it is special — and we keep it in tip-top shape. We call it sometimes tippy-top shape.”
