That’s right! Those belong to American firms to take advantage with impunity and also make the firms distressed in the first place. Just like how it’s a war crime to use gas in war but using it on American civilians won’t even make the news unless there’s something extraordinary happening.

Profit happens when the business takes more money than is needed to Do The Thing. That money is then given to people who (generally) have nothing to do with Doing The Thing. These people then take their extracted value profits, and increase their holdings so they can get more.
