Would you say its unfair to base pricing on any attribute of your customer/customer base? I haven’t seen much discussion around how to fairly set prices for any kind of service/good. Seems most people agree they should make a profit of some kind, and I’ve heard some rough rules suggested but it almost seems like the logical conclusion is that prioritizing profit is always bad for society.

Well you aren’t going to be able to pick out a trend with only testing two games. Its enough of a problem that I would double check where the save is before starting a game on gamepass.

I’ve definitely been on both sides of the ghosting thing, its hard to figure out why that becomes the easy choice. Maybe its just that people are hard and staying home alone is easy? Or maybe ghosting the person allows you to avoid any negative emotional consequences in the short term? I suppose you could try to reassure the person you aren’t upset with them.

For me I’ve noticed too that when I want to be left alone is when people won’t leave me be, and when I’m trying to find someone to do something with there is no one, so maybe it has something to do with expectation.

I think what the poster is trying to say is that for most people perspective is a choice and can be changed by making small adjustments to your life. You can also make huge adjustments but most people won’t tolerate changing too fast.

The idea is that instead of the road to your goal being difficult and full of deception, its maybe that the goal itself is unreasonable or incorrect.

There’s a lot of talk about how to achieve ones goals, whatever they are, but not much talk towards setting realistic goals for yourself and being realistic with what you expect to get out of achieving those goals.

Edit to add: more to your point about trying to make friends, its possible that its because the goal doesnt make sense. In my experience, adults dont have time to make friends just for the sake of friendship. It would be more realistic to set a goal of attending some sort of social event or sport consistently for a year where you would be around people enough to develop friendships without any risk.

Also I think these days people looking to meet strangers to make friends are almost indistinguishable from scammers and fraudsters at first, so that could be part of the issue with the relationships you’ve tried to pursue if that applies at all.

The poster isnt able to explain themselves but Microsoft encrypts most of the game files for their gamepass games which prevents copy pasting the files elsewhere.

You can move the files but they are useless for any other version, and I believe you can’t even copy and paste from gamepass to gamepass either, but I can’t say for sure on that.

They absolutely are not and you are lucky you were able to get your save game out. The majority of games have their config and save files encrypted and are completely unusable as far as any other platform goes.

There are some exceptions, mainly games that have official mod support tend to have areas you can access but the majority of others won’t.

This won’t affect tobacco in anyway. The only reason its in the conversation is because of the term “Tobacco-style label”.

Thats how I got out of it without having to pay the hundreds of dollars in cancelation fees. I was fuming at the time too, and that was maybe close to 5 years ago now.

Thats not accurate at all. Shivering isles is oblivion and one of the best parts of the game.

They replied elsewhere, that victim is a personifying trait and that applying it to inanimate objects makes no sense.

While corporations can be the victim of an attack in the technical sense, we wouldnt feel bad for the corporation because a corporation has no feelings that could be hurt, or any hopes that could be dashed, or whatever other reason someone might feel bad for a victim of something.

In the table example, the table is a victim of the spilled drink but that is a meaningless distinction because a table that is a victim is exactly the same as that same table when its not a victim.

You could say that the owner(s) of the business are the victims however, as they do have hopes and dreams and ambitions that are affected by these things. While you might still conclude the owners aren’t owed any sympathy, its for different reasons than a table would receive no sympathy.

Its also possible that they did look him up but he was acting so outrageous he was still hard to believe or they still felt that he was having a mental breakdown.

The guy can be a member of the four tops and also have mental problems at a given time.

The only poster I saw refuse to take one of the positions, and instead talk about mental health and medical care in general, got down voted but all of these posts where people immediately and aggressively pick a side are all up votes.
